Rob fled the sleepy hamlet of Swanwick a week before his 17 birthday to learn how to fix Jumbo Jets & find fame & fortune on the streets of London – he’s still looking, albeit from a distance. By chance Sept ’89 happened to be the month Kiss FM went legal – spilling a joyous cacophony of sounds from the radio. Norman Jay, Gilles Peterson, Trevor Nelson, ‘Dangerous’ Dave Pearce & more all pushing boundaries way back then & sowing musical seeds in his head. Many happy days trawling Soho digging thru crates has left him with a sizeable vinyl archive to draw on. Essentially an armchair enthusiast for the last 25 years he’s finally picked up the baton for RFSS & at least tries to beat match & be a DJ, but for him it’s all about the music, being a selector & how you GET THERE!
