Matlock Record Club

Matlock Record Club is where it all started.  A group of music lovers in the pub (Designate at the Gate) enjoying an evening sharing their favourite records (CD's tapes, downloads, YouTube videos- what ever is available). Sometimes there are themes- but not always. New clubbers are always welcome- why not head along with your favourite tune.

IT’S ALL TREATS AND NO TRICKS FROM MATLOCK RECORD CLUB

Savour October’s Record Club selections on Radio Free Smedley Street from 8pm on Wednesday (22 October 2014).

We’ve got everything from Eastern European polka and Philly Soul to ska and electro-folk.

And we’ll be negotiating that eclectic minefield together with some top drawer silliness, verbal oneupmanship and seamless linkage provided by the almost professional Rob James and Martin Lockett.

If that sounds good, we can assure you the actual show sounds decidedly better.

Just click on the Listen page and make the player thingy play.

Simple.

ENGINE’S PUNK POGO IS GOOD TO GO-GO

The Casimir Engine Show returns to the Radio Free Smedley Street airwaves with a bang (and probably some phlegm and superglue) on Wednesday 15 October at 8pm. That’s because he’s back with a Punk Rock special, crammed with memories of gigs at the height of the punk and New Wave era, and some of the fashion faux pas that littered Cas’s teenage life. From Anti Pasti to X-Ray Spex, this is a show not to be missed. Get in touch. Tweet, like, share and connect with RFSS through Twitter and Facebook on Wednesday 15 October from 8pm and experience the raw energy that changed the Casimir world forever…
